The great commission of Christ

Why great commission is called great commission? This word is not found in the Bible. However, this is rightly called the great commission because Jesus gave this commission to his disciples for making disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them all that he has commanded them (Matthew 28:19-20). This is the greatest commission of Jesus to all his disciples in the world. The last words of any person who says goodbye is very important. The friends and followers of Jesus had mixed feelings and experiences after meeting with the risen Christ. It took some times for them to figure out what had happened. It was too much to handle and experience to see and meet the risen Christ. During the trial, arrest and crucifixion of Christ, most disciples of Jesus had left him and ran away.
